THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS

Last picture in front of the house before they left

President and Hermana Gomez and family started the two week countdown today...waiting for the time that they will be leaving the mission and returning to Argentina. They moved their family into the Marriott hotel today so that things can be renovated (cleaned, painted, other projects) at the mission home for the new President who is arriving June 30th.

Sebi on top of the car!!

We went over and helped move the suitcases and family to the hotel. It brought back so many memories of moving a family of 8 anywhere. Leandro (he is 5) spent the entire morning telling his mom and everyone that would listen that he was ready to go....not to Argentina, but to the hotel....and when we got there Julia was saying goodbye to friends, Sebi was on top of the car....you know the typical get the family going things!!

Arriving at the Marriott
(Do you think they are ready for this?)

Checking in....they lost the reservation!

Last night we had the family over to dinner and FHE. It brought back so many memories of dealing with 6 children. After dinner we started FHE....Maria Emilia cried because we didn't sing her favorite song (head, shoulders knees and toes). Of course we sang it right after the opening prayer. President gave the lesson about Jonah and the whale with all of the interruptions and antics. We had ice cream and cookies for treats. It was a fun night......

Wednesday they are coming again and we are going to teach them UPSET THE FRUIT BASKET!! How do you say Kiwi in Spanish?????

I am so glad to hear that the mission president has flaws in his fhe as well! We are always trying to keep the kids quiet for two minutes to read the scriptures, always have to sing the songs and deal with crying if the right song isn't sung, etc. I love that you were able to be a part of FHE with them. I know how much you love them and I hope the next mission president is just as great!

Love the head, shoulders, knees, and toes video. What a cute family.
