STONE BOX AT THE MUSEUM
A couple of weekends ago we went to the National Museum here in Guatemala City with the Graffs and the Tilleys. It was a fascinating day. One of the neatest things that we saw there was a stone box that had been discovered here in a cave. They had a display that showed a poster of where the box was discovered as well as the use for these boxes.
It was especially meaningful to us with our golden plates history. The more that we learn here and see the more we realize how many things point to the people in the Book of Mormon.
Another part of the museum showed a diaorama pictorial of the history of Guatemala. Part of the mural was the religious history. They showed a picture of two Mormon missionaries. It is so humbling to see the growth of the Church here. The building that we meet in is the first building in Central America. There are now hundreds of buildings.
