ZELAYA FOLLOWS US TO GUATEMALA

The entrance to the Brazilian Embassy
about 1/2 block from our apartment

Those of you who keep up with the political situation in Honduras know that we saw many demonstrations for Mel Zelaya while we were there. Some of them were even a little violent.

Last Friday evening we were playing a game in our apartment when we heard some loud music....eventually this became loud talking on the microphone as well. As we listened to the speeches, we realized that it was in support of Mel Zelaya...the ex-President of Honduras!!! This continued into the wee hours of the morning (at least 3am.....I put ear plugs in about then).

We realized the next morning that the Brazilian Embassy is right down the street here from our apartment. The Embassy in Honduras is actually letting Zelaya stay there...and the people here were demonstrating at the Brazilian Embassy here.

We just can't escape the political situation in Honduras!!!
