that GECKOS make a noise similar to a woodpecker? We have listened for a year now to a woodpecker type bird outside of our apartment. Last night as we were having dinner at Don Uho's in Copan we saw two geckos running around the wall. (Which is a good thing, because they eat the bugs that could be there!)
All of a sudden we heard this sound....so familiar...the call of the mystery bird. Wayne and I looked at each other and at the same moment said, "That is the gecko!" We had no idea that the sound we have been hearing was a gecko protecting our apartment from insectos.
You are never too old to learn something new!!
