ROAD TRIP

We just spent the last four days in Guatemala on a Road Trip. We needed to go there and purchase a car from the church as well as find out more details about the humanitarian project that we will be involved in. Things were great....everyone helped us and we are getting ready to move. I will put the stages of our trip on in the next couple of days....

On Monday morning we got up EARLY and headed to the airport in Tegucigalpa. We needed to fly to Salvador and then on to Guatemala. Because our tickets were one way, we were bumped to business class...what a waste. The one time we get to fly first class it is for two 30-minute segments. At least we got a drink and cookie!!

When we got to Salvador we found our new gate and were waiting for the next flight. We noticed another missionary couple that looked like they were going to get on our flight. So of course we went over and talked to them. The are Elder and Hermana Navas who were transferring from the Panama temple to the Guatemala temple. They had spent a year in Panama and were going now to help in Guatemala. They have previously served for two years in the Guatemala temple.

I actually did okay speaking with her!!

We had a delightful time visiting with them. Elder Navas could speak a little English, but she could not. We helped them with all their carry on luggage and made sure that they made contact with their ride when we got to Guatemala. It was a fun visit.

Look at his temple tie...it was beautiful
