RAMON VASQUEZ

For those of you who do not know Wayne's complete genealogy he is 25% latino. This has been fun to explain to people here while they are looking at his relatively fair skin and former blonde (turning gray) hair. But his grandmother was 100% latino. Her parents were born in Mexico and her grandparents came from Spain. Wayne's bisabuelo's name was Ramon Vasquez.

Elder Tomkinson and the future Elder Vasquez

The other day we had a future missionary come into the clinic. We were delighted to see that his name is Ramon Vasquez. He is a great future missionary. Today he came back into the clinic to get his work done. We were running late (about 1 hour) and we were on a limited time frame. They close the clinic down promptly at 3pm....the suction and the air turn off. We had 8 fillings to do on Ramon and a cleaning. We started at 2pm....I kept watching the clock and calculating the time that we had left. Wayne finished right at 3pm...and then decided that we had time to use the cavitron and clean Ramon's teeth.

When all was finished and we were done, we looked at the clock. It was 3:15 pm. Ramon was finished and we even got the cleaning in. As we checked the suction and air....is was turned off. You can't tell me that missionaries don't get things done if they need to.....a small miracle in our book today!! Some days the suction and air have been turned off really early.....
