Elder and Sister Adams with the ChaverrisWe got a call Saturday morning during our P-day cleaning that Elder Clarke really wanted us to help meet and greet them at the airport. We were pleased to do so, and had a delightful time helping them come into the country. Hermana Chaverri and her daughter were there to greet their new missionaries (President had a meeting with Elder Clarke).....and they were so glad to be here.
It brought back so many memories for us...not being able to speak ANY Spanish, wondering where you were going to live, how you would ever pay for anything....etc., but they are so excited to be here and will be a great asset to the mission here. We gave them the same advise that the MTC gave us...just take it easy for a few days and get adjusted. Don't worry about doing anything for about two weeks. Good advice...you can't do anything if you don't feel like you have a place to sleep!!

How fun for you! I hope you get relieved of your "nurse duty." How are the mom and daughter together on the mission? Are they from there?
I know that it must feel so great to be the one that has gained a little experience and is now able to help a new couple adjust to life in the mission field! You both are so good at being leaders and helping people learn their new duties! I hope you know what you mean to me!!! You've helped me so much by leading me and I appreciate it so much.
We miss you very much!
FYI in case you haven't heard...Rachel is getting married this Friday.
