With Elder Kim and Hermana Carolyn Taylor
Our MTC neighbors
This week we had the opportunity to host the Area Medical Advisor for a series of Health Conferences for our missionaries. Elder and Hermana Taylor as well as Hermana Thibault (who serves as the Area Mental Health Specialist) came from Guatemala for these Conferences. We were especially excited for this because the Taylors entered the MTC with us in July and have been in Central America the same amount of time as we have. They were our neighbors in the MTC!! It was a wonderful reunion and we so enjoyed partaking of their spirits. Elder Taylor is an Opthomalic Surgeon and so many of our missionaries with eye problems were anxious to visit with him.

Hermana Thibault gave a wonderful presentation on getting along as a companionship. She gave great skills for solving problems that missionaries face....life skills that they can use in their future marriages. Elder Taylor presented basic health skills....the 10 commandments of good health. We were pleased because we have stressed all of the points that he made to the missionaries. It was good to know that we are on the right track.

After the presentations the missionaries were able to have consultations with Elder Taylor and Hermana Thibault. It was wonderful as we saw about 50 missionaries that had health concerns. I will be busy the next few days following up on treatments for their problems and concerns. Hermana Thibault was able to visit with many missionaries who needed her assurance and expertise. It was a great week!!

We are tired after the past two weeks of visitors....but we are so happy to be involved in the work here. We love the Latin America people....we love our missionaries....we love the work!!
