We are pleased to have become associated with John Wetterer and his staff at Hogar Tio Juan. Tio is the Spanish name for Uncle....so he is known as Uncle John to his residents. The girls orphanage is where our dental clinic is.
The other day we were driving down the road and saw a bus with kids hanging out of it. We also saw Tio Juan's car beside the bus. We realized that it was a bus of our orphanage kids. They were waving to people....so we rolled down the windows and waved at them. Wayne took pictures of them.
We knew that they were going on a field trip. When we arrived at the clinic we were pleased to have the bus with all the boys and Tio Juan there! The boys had come out to have an activity day at the park next to the orphanage...play soccer....and have a baseball game against the girls. They were equally surprised to see us.
We also took pictures of John next to the mosiac murals. One of the mural people represents him. We are excited to have the dental clinic completed so that we can start servicing these great people!
