Our apartment turned into the Conference Center

This past weekend our apartment was turned totally upside down. We were again hosting General Conference sessions for the senior missionary couples here in Victoria Suites. It was wonderful. We had 14 people here in our apartment watching conference on our wall.

One of the funnest things about this year was that we were able to hear one of our wonderful Area Presidency speak during the Sunday afternoon session. Elder James Martino spoke about adversity. He is the one that talked about the young man who turned his strike out baseball game into being a fantastic pitcher.

Wayne visited with Elder Martino before they left for Conference about his talk. It was interesting to hear about the process that he went through and how he got input for the talk. All of their children were going to be able to come from Texas to be in Salt Lake City with them while he spoke. We are anxious to hear their report.

The craziness continued as they used the projector/wall screen for the NCAA basketball playoff on Monday night......go Butler!!! What a fantastic finish and a fun evening.
